Our Story
Suri-Mai was created in 2023, inspired by becoming a mum to my daughter, Suri. Like many mums, I wanted to celebrate her birth with meaningful jewellery in keeping with our culture and traditions — modern solid gold jewellery for children that felt beautiful, comfortable and made with care. I was drawn to pieces that could be worn every day as well as on special occasions, and that would grow with her rather than sit unworn in a jewellery box.
When I began searching, I realised how difficult it was to find thoughtfully designed children’s gold jewellery that suited modern family life. So Suri-Mai began as a way to create what felt missing — jewellery with meaning, made for real life, for mums like me who love modern gold jewellery for themselves and their little ones.
Who We Are
Suri-Mai is a London-based family-run jewellery brand creating children’s and mummy & mini gold jewellery with a focus on timeless design and careful craftsmanship. Every piece is designed with intention — considering how it feels to wear, how it’s made, and how it will last over time.
Our collections are designed to be worn, loved and kept. We believe jewellery for children should feel luxurious and comfortable, while still being beautiful enough to hold lasting meaning and be worn for years to come. From everyday essentials to matching mummy & mini pieces, our designs celebrate family bonds and the memories created along the way.

The Founder
Suri-Mai began with a lifelong love of jewellery and a curiosity for creating something of my own — from making and selling handmade bracelets at school from a young age, to always being drawn to beautifully made pieces as I got older.
After building a successful career in business and law in the City of London, I felt a pull back towards creativity and building something more personal. Becoming a mum brought a shift in priorities, wanting to spend more time with my daughter and create something meaningful for her.
Suri-Mai was born after months of searching for the perfect gold earrings and bracelets for Suri — pieces her grandparents wanted to gift her, in keeping with our South Asian tradition. I was searching for something modern, safe, and beautifully made. I couldn’t find what I was looking for in the traditional shops so I began designing my own. After a year of sketching, researching materials, endless samples and perfecting the details, Suri-Mai Jewellery was brought to life.
Designing Suri-Mai has been deeply personal. Every piece is designed and created with the same care I would give to choosing jewellery for my own child — with attention to comfort, quality and longevity.
Our Purpose
Growing up in a South Asian family, gifting gold jewellery to newborns and young children was always deeply meaningful. These pieces symbolised love and protection, usually gifted by parents or grandparents and treasured for years and through generations.
Suri-Mai was created to honour this tradition in a more modern way. Our aim is to offer beautifully made gold jewellery that respects heritage while fitting seamlessly into modern family life — pieces that feel relevant and wearable today and for generations to come.
